BSDA is partner in SpeeCh project

SpeeCh project - SPORT PSYCHIATRY COMMUNITY is a project that started on 01/01/2017 and will implement various activities in the next 2 years. Main project activities are:
• Foundation of 3 Integrated Sports Associations In Italy, Germany and Bulgaria. Members of the Association: Psychiatric patients and non-disabled young people. Association purpose: To favour social inclusion of psychiatric patients in the citizenship.
• Publication of the book «Methodologies and techniques for managing sports activities aimed at social inclusion in their local communities of disabled people living in psychiatric therapeutic communities»

The partner organizations will be part of the European Network of Integrated Football that is being achieved through another Erasmus+ project. Mapping out and establishing contacts with main stakeholders and sharing previous experiences and national best practices about methodologies and techniques for managing sports activities in favour of the social inclusion in their local communities of psychiatric patients living in therapeutic communities will be some of project outputs we will achieve. During the project we will have various internal meeting of project staff in order to share ideas on «Awareness Raising Campaigns» and outline possible problems.

In each country will be launched campaign to the local community for presenting the project and the future foundation of a sports associations whose members will be both athletes who are patients of the psychiatric community and young athletes of the local community. In project activities is also included an international sport event in Berlin, Germany, that will meet 8 athletes with psychiatric problems from the three partner countries. A project product will be the book “Methodologies and techniques for managing sports activities aimed at social inclusion in their local communities of disabled people living in psychiatric therapeutic communities”.


Project is co-funded by “Erasmus+” Programme of European Commission – Small Collaborative Partnerships and will be implemented in 24 months. Partners countries: Italy, Germany and Bulgaria.
