Ramps4Champs

THE FIRST MEETING UNDER THE RAMPS4CHAMPS PROJECT WAS HELD ONLINE
19.01.2023
On January 19, 2023, the first meeting under the Ramps4Champs project took place, bringing together the partners from Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Serbia and North Macedonia. The consortium had the opportunity to discuss the phases of the initiative and the upcoming 2023 project activities.
The main output of the Ramps4Champs project is a guide on how to organise safe and inclusive Boccia BC3 activities including both people with disabilities and their able-bodied peers. To achieve this trainers and coaches will be trained on delivering Boccia BC3 activities but also on first aid and secondary care for people with disabilities.

Boccia is a Paralympic sport designed for athletes with high support needs. It is played indoors and can be played individually, in pairs, or in teams of three; it is mix-gender and the aim is to throw balls as close as possible to a white marker ball. BC3 is a Boccia classification played by athletes with significant limitations in arm and leg functions, such as tetraplegia and myopathies.

The Ramps4Champs initiative is co-funded under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
