Adapted summer camp in VUSB Nessebar

In the period 31/08 - 06/09/2020, in VUSB Nessebar was held an adapted water sports camp, which was attended by young people with intellectual disabilities and the activities were conducted by professors from the four sectors of the Department of Water Sports at NSA. Vasil Levski ” in full compliance with all anti-epidemic measures.
The activities of the sports camp were related to the promotion of the activities of the NSA in the field of adapted water sports for people with different types of disabilities and special needs. The camp was opened by Prof. Nikolay Izov - Rector of NSA, who welcomed the participants, wished them success and took part in their first sports training on the beach. During the activities, the participants received support from Assoc. Prof. Stoyan Andonov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. The main sports in which the participants took part were sailing, kayaking and swimming. In addition, all participants enjoyed the practice of the modern paddleboarding, as well as activities on the methodology Playdagodgy, which the Bulgarian sports development association implements within the project PLAY'IN Together and activities with the methodology Education through sport, on which BSDA works within of the co-funded Erasmus + initiatives #SPORTolerance and Sport.Youth.Inclusion. There was also a hike within the Hike Together project, during which the participants in the camp enjoyed nature in VUSB Nessebar. All activities during the adapted water sports camp were entitled with the slogan SHOUT’N SHARE in order to raise awareness of youth para-sports.
