BSDA is partner in (Re) Play for Inclusion project

Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018), Serbia will implement (Re) Play for Inclusion project supported by Erasmus + program, for the Capacity Building in The Field of Youth action in cooperation with partner organizations and sport clubs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Macedonia. The project will bring together young people from Program and Partner countries to explore sport and games as methods in youth work and develop new forms of youth work for social inclusion through sport.

Sport and games have been one of the most common tools for sharing and learning universal rules such as fair play, respect of diversity, team spirit, tolerance, mutual respect and representation of a country in a positive way. The projects goal is to recognize games and sport as the instrument for peoples mutual understanding, mediation between the cultures and dissemination of the universal values. Young people will learn about social inclusion and intercultural dialogue through sport and games. Youth workers and volunteers will be educated how to use sports and games as methods in work with youth promoting some of the European values such as tolerance, inclusion, solidarity, respect; after that they will work on the local level in local communities and develop their own information, communication and media tools and materials and organize awareness campaigns about the inclusion of young people from vulnerable groups through sports and games. Set of different activities will empower participating organizations and build their capacities in using the sport and games as methods in youth work and promoting positive values. Project will be implemented from 01.11.2018 till 31.10.2019.

Project Aims:
To recognize games and sport as an efficient method in youth work and the instruments for peoples mutual understanding, mediation between the cultures and dissemination of the universal values such as fair play, tolerance, respect and social inclusion.

Specific goals:
To provide youth workers and volunteers with the knowledge, skills and competences to use sport and games in youth work and develop new forms of youth work for social inclusion through sport;
To launch and test new methods through awareness campaign about social inclusion of young people coming from vulnerable groups through sport and games;
To educate young participants how to promote universal rules of sports in the local community and combat intolerance, discrimination and social exclusion on the local and international level;
To improve and strengthening European youth cooperation.

Activities:
1. Capacity building activity: Coordination meeting - will be organized in Sofia, Bulgaria where partner organizations will discuss operational and financial matters of the project and develop dynamics of the work plan. Time: 07.12. 10.12.2018
2. Mobility activity: Training course 1 7 days long training will be organized in Nis, Serbia and will involve youth workers and volunteers as well as trainers and organization team from participating countries. Participants will learn how to use sport and games to work with youth and promote certain value such as social inclusion of young people coming from vulnerable groups, focusing on those with disabilities. Time: 03.02. 10.02.2019
3. Mobility activity: Training course 2 will be organized in Kavadarci, Macedonia. During this training participants will deepen their knowledge and improve their skills to organize awareness campaigns and to motivate young people to take active participation in the promotion of social inclusion of young people with disabilities. Time: 16.03. 23.03.2019
4. Capacity building activity: development of information, communication and media tools Info Days - Participants of the two trainings will organize one-day local Info Day with the support of local partner organizations NGO and sport club/association, where they will test the new methods with local youth, where they will use their knowledge and skills gained at the training, and develop new information, communication and media tool. The main topic of the work will be how young people can promote social inclusion of youth with disabilities and youth at risk through sport and games. Time: April/May 2019
5. Capacity building activity: information and awareness campaigns Sport for Inclusion campaign - Youth workers and activists educated through 2 training courses will organize Sports for Inclusion awareness campaign at the local level in participating countries with the support of partner organizations and sport clubs/associations in the project. Campaigns will be focused on the organization of the sport events that will promote social inclusion of youth with disabilities and youth. Sport events will include organization of the activities such as:
  • football matches;
  • tennis table matches;
  • swimming workshops;
  • martial arts show cases;
  • individual sports;
  • sport workshops;
  • street actions and similar
Time: May 2019/June 2019
6. Capacity building activity: Final conference - will be organized in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and will gather representatives of partner organizations, representatives of partner sport clubs, local and national authorities, media, NGOs, and similar. Presentation of the project results will be done, as well as the evaluation and follow up of the project in the following manner Time: 04.09. 07.09.2019
7. Capacity building activity: Dissemination, distribution and multiplication. Every participating organization will organize dissemination and presentation of the project results. A movie about the project will be produced, CDs with materials the movie will be created and distributed as well as booklets and leaflets Time: September/October 2019
