Darko Team Sprint Cup 2024 during the European Week of Sport
29.09.2024
On September 29th 2024, at the "Vasil Levski" National Stadium in Sofia, Darko Team "Sprint Cup 2024" was held, which was part of the European Week of Sport and marked the beginning of the new season in the school. This event was part of the "Carbon Neutral Sports Clubs Network – C ZERO SPORT CLUBS" initiative, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission. The project aims to encourage small sports clubs in Europe to take concrete action to protect the climate by implementing eco-friendly management practices and using digital tools.
"Sprint Cup" was a great success, gathering more than 150 participants, including children aged 4 to 12 years, to compete in running and show their skills at “Vasil Levski” Stadium. The race also included a start for amateurs – men and women over 18, which added to the fun atmosphere. The race aimed to find the fastest children and future champions of Bulgaria, giving them the opportunity to play sports and have fun. Taking part in the biggest sports facility in the country was an added incentive for the young runners, who were looking forward to demonstrating their abilities at the start of the school year. The event was open to all children, regardless of their experience or sports club affiliation, emphasising that the most important thing was the desire to participate and have fun. It was time for running and joy!
