Bulgarian Sports Development Association (BSDA) delivered a series of online training sessions with 11th-grade students from “Nikola Y. Vaptsarov” Secondary School in the town of Petrich, as part of the DevelopMENS project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The sessions took place between 12 and 26 March 2026 in three consecutive modules, building on the already established partnership between BSDA and the school, with the support of the principal, Nina Popova.

On March 20, 2026, the second plenary session of the Industry 5.0 Community of Practice took place in Brussels. The event was organized by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and brought together leading representatives from industry, academia, and policymaking across Europe. All participants were united around a shared vision of a more sustainable, inclusive, and human-centered industry.

On June 18th, 2024, Bulgarian sports development association, held an event under the " “DevelpMENS: Youngsters personal and social development through self-determination theory, critical thinking and media literacy” project. The event was attended by young people as well as coaches, teachers, sports specialists and experts working on the topic. The project is international and brings together partners from 6 different countries – Italy (L'ORMA – coordinator), Croatia (Vere Montis), Bulgaria (Bulgarian sports development association) and partner countries from the Western Balkans: Bosnia and Herzegovina (BRAVO), Albania (New Vision) and Kosovo (Heimerer College).

On March 26th, 2024, the first meeting under the DevelpMENS: Youngsters personal and social development through self-determination theory, critical thinking and media literacy project was held. This is a transnational project that brings together a consortium of partners from 6 different countries, including Italy (L'ORMA - applicant), Croatia (Vere Montis), Bulgaria (BSDA) (Programme Countries) and Bosnia (BRAVO), Albania (New Vision), and Kosovo (Heimerer College) (Region 1 – Western Balkans Countries). The meeting analysed the project plan and the activities foreseen for the next 3 years.

DevelpMENS: Youngsters personal and social development through self-determination theory, critical thinking and media literacy is a transnational project that brings together a consortium of partners from 6 different countries, including Italy (L'ORMA - applicant), Croatia (Vere Montis), Bulgaria (BSDA) (Programme Countries) and Bosnia (BRAVO), Albania (New Vision), and Kosovo (Heimerer College) (Region 1 – Western Balkans Countries). The project amins at enhancing the personal and social development of young people through the integration of self-determination theory, critical thinking, and media literacy into formal, non-formal, and informal education. It involves conducting scientific research and focus groups on self-determination theory, intrinsic motivation, and soft skills, developing educational content based on the research findings, and creating a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) to disseminate the knowledge and skills acquired.
