In the period 13-16 of October 2021, the final meeting of HEalth Practices for Own Self-Improvement (HEPOSI) project was held, bringing together organizations from Italy, Paraguay and Peru. The international consortium worked together for three years with the aim of capacity building and youth empowerment in the field of healthy and active lifestyle.

On September 25, 2021, in the “Madara” pool of the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" #Train4Inclusive event in adapted swimming was held, which was attended by athletes with intellectual disabilities. #Train4Inclusive is implemented by an international consortium including representatives of Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Slovenia and Spain and aims to develop a methodology and tools that sports coaches and managers of sports activities for people with disabilities will be able to use to monitor the progress of their physical, cognitive and social skills. The swimming event included 50m adapted swimming with a partner, as well as water fun for the participants, who were divided into two age groups - under and over 17 years.

An online meeting of the consortium of the HEPOSI project was held on January 25, 2021, which brought together the project partners and gave them the opportunity to discuss the implementation of the remaining project activities, as well as opportunities for their implementation in regards of the complex situation in the world. A final conference is planned to be held in October 2021 in Lima, Peru.

In June 2020 in Ravda, Bulgaria was implemented a dissemination event of #HEPOSI project that introduced kids and youngsters about the positive aspects of healthy lifestyle, combined with #BeActive activities. Through interactive and non-formal activities, the kids were able to enjoy physical activity and to be aware of the healthy life habits.

In the period 11 – 19 of November 2019 in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, an youth exchange on healthy lifestyle involving young people Bulgaria, Italy, Paraguay and Peru in the frame of "HEalth Practices for Own Self-Improvement" (HEPOSI) project, co-funded by ErasmusPlus Programme of the European Union. During seven days, the participants worked on creating a “Healthy Sensitive Youth” manual, outlining the methods used in project activities and focusing on the healthy lifestyle of young people from participating countries. During the mobility, participants had the opportunity to visit local educational centres and the event were visited by representatives of local authorities and non-governmental organizations that presented and discussed together challenges and their possible solutions.

Ministry of Youth and Sports organized "European Week of Sport #BEactive" for the fifth consecutive year. From 23 to 30 September 2019, people of all ages had the opportunity to get acquainted with over 50 sports and practice them freely. The campaign was opened by the Minister of Youth and Sports Krasen Kralev on September 23, 2019, and from 24 to 26 September between 10 am and 5 pm in Arena Armeec the Ministry has organized Sports Fair #BeActive Fair, in which the Bulgarian Sports Development Association took part .

Between July 20-21, 2019, #BeActive weekend was held at the Monastery "St. Kozma and Damyan”, organized in partnership with the Sunday School at the “Nativity of Christ" Temple, Sofia, Mladost 3, the Association of Bulgarians suffering from asthma(ABBA) and the Bulgarian sports development association. Sport activities and interactive children's workshops were held as part of the HEalth Practices for Own Self-Improvement (HEPOSI) project, which provides collaboration between NGOs from Europe and Latin America to address the challenge of promoting healthy physical activity and food consumption practices among young people through non-formal education. The activities were part of the second children's summer camp at the monastery, following the successful first edition in 2018. Over 25 children had the opportunity to have fun, study together and enjoy a wonderful summer day with a lot of sport activities.

Between 15 and 23 June 2019 in Sardinia, Italy, a training course on healthy lifestyle involving youth operators from partner countries was carried out and implemented on the basis of the Training Course (TC) format, jointly developed by the "HEalth Practices for Own Self-Improvement" (HEPOSI) project partners. The initiative gathered teams from Italy, Paraguay and Peru who, within seven working days, worked on creating a “Healthy Sensitive Youth” manual, outlining the methods used in project activities and focusing on the healthy lifestyle of young people from participating countries and planning of a local awareness raising campaign on a healthy lifestyle at national level in all partner countries.

The WHO has placed health and physical activities among the crucial determinants of global health, underlining the role of insufficient levels of movement as one of the main factors enhancing death risk worldwide (see WHO Website). Physical activity has been proven to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases as cancer and diabetes, enjoying therefore a crucial importance not only for the wellbeing of the individuals but also from the perspective of societal health.
