On December 6, 2018, at an official ceremony in Sofia, organized by the Center for Development of Human Resources, the Bulgarian sports development association was awarded with a quality sign for the organization and implementation of the “Vitamin S(port)” project, co-funded under the Erasmus + Program Key Action 1 - Mobility for young people and youth workers. The award was received by Emiliya Tzanova – Project assistant at BSDA and Nikola Zdravkov - a volunteer in the organization.

Between 04 and 05 December 2018, in Brussels, the second meeting of the sports cluster "Integrity in Sport", organized by the European Commission's Sport Directorate, was held to provide the participants with the opportunity to discuss the challenges in the sector, which include anti-doping, match fixing, sport corruption, gender equality, athletes' representation in sports policy-making processes, and so on. The meeting was attended by Joanna Dochevska, chairwoman of the Bulgarian sports development association, which implements the project "Good Governance in Sport" #GoodGovernanceSport.

On 14 November 2018, a high-level round table on "Learning mobility in sport" was held in Salzburg, Austria, in the frame of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU. The meeting was attended by sports experts from the Member States, representatives of the European Commission and the academic community in Europe. Among the participants was Joanna Dochevska - chairwoman of the Bulgarian sports development association, which presented the framework of the project "Sports Diplomacy Academy", which was been granted for funding few days ago by Brussels. 7 initiatives have been funded under the mobility program in the field of sport, with the Diplomatic Academy being the contribution of Bulgaria to the purposeful development of human capacity in sport, which the European Commission is starting to support this year. The total budget of this call for proposals was € 1.2 million. The call was intended to contribute to the development of sports organizations by supporting the learning mobility of their staff. The exchange of people, ideas and good practices can benefit people, their organizations and sport and society as a whole and will be one of the main priorities of Erasmus + in its Sport chapter after 2020, when it expects a doubling of the budget. Sport Diplomacy Academy /SDA/ project is legacy of recent First Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU 2018 and will focus on Western Balkans lot as a logical follow up of all implemented #EU2018BG Main activities: prioritizing the EU perspective and connectivity of the WB, referring to the SofiaDeclaration and Sofia Priority Agenda. Both #EU and WB partners should continue to invest efforts in strengthening the cooperation and good practices exchange, focused on democracy, security and fundamental rights.

In the period 13-15 November 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria, a final meeting on the project "Youth ambassadors of sport volunteering" was held, which in the last 2 years prepared and supported the implementation of the activities for promotion of volunteer activities in the field of sport. - EXERCISE AS A MEAN TO PREVENT AND RECOVER THE CHRONIC DISEASES /PREVENT/ - PROJECT’S OBJECTIVES The objectives of the project entitled "Exercise as a mean to prevent and recover the chronic diseases", are the following: 1) informing citizens on the benefits of exercise in health, preventing and recuperating chronic diseases and guiding them for safe and effective participation in organized exercise programs 2) to raise the awareness of health professionals to encourage patients to participate in systematic exercise and to update them with the most up-to-date research data on appropriate forms of exercise, depending on the specificity of the disease. 3) the training of doctors, health professionals (nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists) and exercise professionals for the safe and effective use of the exercise as a means of preventing and restoring chronic diseases. 4) Incitement, facilitation and guidance of public, municipal and private bodies for the organization of safe and effective exercise programs for the prevention and rehabilitation of chronic diseases throughout the country. 5) the networking of public, municipal and private providers offering health services and exercise services.

In the period 12-16 October, 2018, Sofia organized open days in the frame of START NOW project, that took place in parallel in the three partner countries - Poland, Bulgaria and Cyprus within the framework of the European Health Promotion Initiative START NOW. On October 15 and 16, 2018 at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski", all those interested were able to get acquainted with the developed training modules that youth and sports professionals can apply to work with young people and with the online training available for youth workers.

The project Active Break adresses the today's stressful times and abundance of work. Where we forget too many times that movement is a source of health. Employers put pressure on employees to maximize productivity. Many employees suffer from a variety of pain due to prolonged sitting for a computer, standing work, repetitive movements etc. what cause many work-related illnesses. The innovative aspect of the project is promotion of daily 10 minutes physical sports activities for employees between work-time, which will be lead by sport volunteers. Sport volunteers will be trained for managing workouts for employees with support of e-learning platform.

The Bulgarian Sports Development Associationa has hosted four international volunteers in Bulgaria who have carried out a variety of volunteer activities for the local community in Sofia, Bulgaria for a period of two months. Mobility was 59 days, starting on August 11 and ending October 8, 2018. During this period, volunteers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia and Portugal had the opportunity to gain experience in organizing sporting events, running sports projects and holding several youth workshops aimed at promoting volunteering.

Back2Track will focus on analyzing the differences and similarities that sport clubs have in the approach to professional and grassroots sport and in innovative approach of including kids with disadvantage background in sport and physical activity.As most sport clubs in Europe are implementing both programmes for high level sport and grassroot sport and most of the administration in this club has professional education and experience in the field of professional sport,it is needed to be created new approach for the sport club,focused on grassroots sport. In the same time, there is a huge number of kids with disadvantage background that needs to be empowered to involve in positive activities such as sport and to give them different perspective on their future personal and professional development as society members.

#Good governance in sport project is coordinated by the Bulgarian sports development association and it has been co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission - Sport chapter and it is a collaborative partnership that will work together for 30 months, starting from 01/01/2018 and includes 7 countries.
