Ramps4Champs 2.0

First meeting under the Ramps4Champs 2.0 project was held in Lisbon
03.02.2025
In the period 2–3 February 2025, Lisbon hosted the first transnational meeting of the Ramps4Champs 2.0 project, bringing together partners from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland, and Portugal. This initiative, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, aims to promote Bocce BC3 as a tool for social inclusion and empowerment of individuals with severe disabilities by improving access to and participation in adaptive sports.
The Portuguese Federation for Sports for People with Disabilities (FPDD) welcomed the consortium at the “Casal Vistoso” Multi-Purpose Sports Complex and in its headquarters in Odivelas. The meeting provided a platform to discuss project management, financial planning, communication strategies, and the distribution of responsibilities among partners. It allowed the team to align their goals, share best practices on the challenges of sports inclusion, and develop strategies to enhance accessibility through education, training, and policy recommendations.

A key focus was the development of methodologies for implementing inclusive Bocce BC3 programs to ensure that the project’s outcomes—such as educational resources, training methodologies, and advocacy tools—have a lasting impact on sports organizations, educators, and policymakers. The partners also explored opportunities for collaboration with local institutions to expand the project’s reach and effectiveness.

Ramps4Champs 2.0 project aims to create a future where adaptive sports are accessible to all, fostering broader participation, increased awareness, and social inclusion. The Ramps4Champs 2.0 project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and is going to be implemented over 24 months in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland, and Portugal.
