On January 23, 2025, representatives of the Bulgarian Sports Development Association (BSDA) participated in the Erasmus+ Sport Kick-Off Event, organized by EACEA. This event marked the official launch of the new Erasmus+ Sport projects set to begin in 2025.
The agenda featured distinguished speakers, including Theo Duivenvoorde, Head of Erasmus+ Mundus & Sport Unit at EACEA, and Gael Broze, Head of Erasmus+ Sport Sector, who moderated the event. Key sessions included presentations by Sophie Lemel, Zanete Tifentale, and Izabela Pelczynska, focusing on project initiation, partner coordination, and communication with project officers. Additionally, Vincenzina Vinci, Helena Kamencikova, and Chiara Funari provided guidance on managing changes and reporting outcomes effectively. The event concluded with insights from Luciano Di Fonzo, Deputy Head of Erasmus+ Mundus & Sport Unit.

BSDA is thrilled to bring its expertise to these impactful projects and is committed to fostering inclusion, empowerment, and innovation in sports throughout 2025.

Bulgarian sports development association is starting two new initiatives in 2025 within the Erasmus+ programme:
• SPORT Project (Strengthening Potentials through Opportunities, Respect, and Team-spirit) aims to promote inclusion and accessibility in sport, with a special focus on people with intellectual disabilities in Bulgaria and Turkey.

• #BeActiveTogether project is an initiative that aims to provide quality sport mobility for people with intellectual disabilities through athletics training, while providing new tools and resources that use sport as a means of inclusion, socialization and empowerment, to sport experts, including instructors, coaches and social workers. #BeActiveTogether is implemented in Bulgaria and Greece over a 24-month period.
