The meeting of young sports development ambassadors in Portugal ended
29.09.2017
A few days ago a part of the BSDA team came back from Portugal, where they took part in the project "Youth Sport Development Ambassadors" (YSDA) in the period 25.09.-29.09-2017. Representatives in the face of Kalinka Gudarovska, a member of the Board of Directors as mentor and Musalina Dzhalil, her young ambassador, have taken part in numerous sports activities such as archery, kayaking on the Tua River, table tennis, beach volleyball, basketball and football. In their physical activities, they have partnered with project designers from Slovenia, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, as well as students from Africa who are studying at the local university in the small picturesque town in northern Portugal, Miranda.

The aim of this project is to motivate young people to sport and train youth leaders in sport. The meeting of young people with their peers from different nationalities enriches not only their horizons, but also educates them about equality between nations and the desire for initiatives in the future. A further meeting with the Mayor of Miranda, a visit to the Museum of Olives and the largest cork tree reserve in Europe were organized at the local level.
