Lead Her Game

On July 14th 2026, the international online LeadHerGame roundtable was held as part of the LeadHerGame – Empowering Women in Sports Leadership project, which co-funded by the through the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The event brought together representatives of sports organisations, public institutions, researchers, and gender equality experts from seven European countries to discuss the findings of the project's international research and contribute to the development of the upcoming Gender Equality Action Plan for Sport.

In the period 25-27 February 2026, in Nicosia, Cyprus, representatives of Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA) took part in a partner meeting under the LeadHerGame project – an innovative European initiative aimed at empowering women in sport and promoting equal access to leadership positions.

Although women’s participation in sport continues to grow, their representation in leadership, coaching, and decision-making roles remains disproportionately low. To address this imbalance, the LeadHerGame project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, works to empower women in sport and transform the structures that limit their access to leadership opportunities.
