PRESENTATION OF THE HEPA SUN PROJECT WAS HELD IN NORTHWESTERN BULGARIA

In the period 18th -20th of March 2022, in Klisura Monastery "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" was held a presentation of the HEPA SUN project, organized in partnership with the leadership of the monastery in the face of Archimandrite Father Antim. The presentation was attended by educators and specialists working with children from NSA "Vasil Levski", Sunday school at the church "Nativity of Christ" Mladost 3, Sunday school at the church "St. Mtsa Paraskeva", Str. G.S. Rakovski, Carolina Holistic Center, National Academy of Theater and Film Arts "Krastyo Sarafov", 105 Sofia School "Atanas Dalchev", BG and Sports for All, Association of Bulgarians with Asthma, Allergies and COPD (ABBA), Independent Theater Company Empty Space and the Bulgarian Sports Development Association. During the event the upcoming activities were presented for training of teachers working in the field of preschool education and a pilot program that will cover 100 children in Bulgaria and will introduce them to the positive aspects of regular sports activities in order to instill a love for movement at a very early age.

"Sports, health and fun for preschool children (SUN)" is a project that aims to teach children and young people a healthy lifestyle and give them a good, useful and rewarding start in life. The project aims to raise awareness of issues related to the need for physical activity as a basis for a healthy lifestyle, changing the habits of preschool children and their families in both urban and suburban areas. The duration of the project is 24 months, and it involves 7 partner organizations from six European countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia and Croatia. The project "Sports, health and fun for preschool children (SUN)’’ is co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus + program.
