MOVING TOURNAMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WAS HELD IN SOFIA

On April 29, 2022, in the sports hall of the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski", Gurguliat building, a tournament for people with disabilities was held, which was organized by young sports experts from Bulgaria. Within the framework of the MOVING tournament, the methods developed within the framework of the mentioned initiative were tested and young people with intellectual disabilities took part in it.
The MOVING project is aiming to support the mobility of volunteers, coaches, managers and staff of non-profit sport organizations. The target group are people aged 18+ interested in volunteering to explore the possibility of a career in sport as well as to further strengthen their competencies. The project seeks to answer the priority European policy challenge of supporting volunteering in the field of Sport as a vehicle of employability, economic growth and social engagement. MOVING is co-funded under the Erasmus+ program of the European Union and within 24 months 5 partner organizations from 4 European countries participate in it – Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy and Portugal.
