INTERNATIONAL MEETING UNDER THE WOMEN’S HURDLES PROJECT WAS HELD IN SOFIA

On the 7th of February, 2023, in Sofia, an international meeting of the consortium implementing the "WOMEN'S HURDLES" initiative was held, which aims to develop and implement innovative practices related to the promotion of women's physical activity, especially of those in a dynamic family and work environment. The project objective is to promote and support EU strategies in the area of social inclusion and equal opportunities of women, which are based on physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. The duration of the project is 24 months and involves 6 partner organizations from 5 European countries – Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Lithuania and Romania and research and online activities have been conducted so far.
MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT ARE:
1. Raising awareness of the risks of women’s sedentary lifestyle;
2. Getting acquainted with the positive effects of physical activity;
3. Development of time optimization skills;
4. Increasing the motivation of women to perform physical activity and sports;
5. Overcoming barriers and prejudices;
6. Following pre-prepared sports programs in order to increase the level of physical activity.
„Woman Hurdless“ project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Sport programme of the European Union and within the initiative, Digital Marketing for Sports Organizations training will be held on February 19, 2023 at the "Vasil Levski" National Sports Academy.
