BSDA participates in Industry 5.0 CoP Plenary Session

On October 16, 2024, the Industry 5.0 Community of Practice (CoP 5.0) held its plenary session and the event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the role of Industry 5.0 in enhancing the long-term competitiveness of EU industries. Bulgarian Sports Development Association (BSDA) proudly took part in the event as a member of the CoP 5.0 network, furthering its commitment to integrating cutting-edge practices in the field of sports development.
The day commenced with a keynote speech by Marc Lemaître, Director General of DG Research and Innovation, European Commission, followed by a high-level panel discussion. Speakers, including Lina Gálvez (Member of the European Parliament) and Jean-Pascal Riss (Schneider Electric), addressed the transformative impact of Industry 5.0 on European industries, with a focus on sustainability and human-centric innovation.
The afternoon featured collaborative workshops where participants shared knowledge and explored future directions for the CoP 5.0 network. The participants contributed to discussions on human-centric approaches and the application of these concepts in sports, supporting the development of innovative strategies for empowering athletes and sports communities.
The event concluded with a presentation on the outcomes of the Prototype Industry 5.0 Learning and Assessment Tool, alongside the results of the workshops, highlighting the potential for new developments within the Industry 5.0 framework.
As a part of the CoP 5.0 network, the Bulgarian Sports Development Association is excited to continue its work towards integrating these advancements in sports, ensuring a more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative future for sports organizations across Europe.
