#SPORTOLERANCE ADAPTED SUMMER CAMP 2021

In the period 14/06 – 22/06/2021, in VUSB Nessebar was held an adapted water sports camp, which was attended by young people with intellectual disabilities and the activities were conducted by professors from the four sectors of the Department of Water Sports at NSA. “Vasil Levski” in full compliance with all anti-epidemic measures.
The activities of the sports camp were related to the promotion of the activities of the NSA in the field of adapted water sports for people with different types of disabilities and special needs. The main sports in which the participants took part were sailing, kayaking and swimming. In addition, all participants enjoyed #SPORTolerance spirit – an initiative of the “Bulgarian sports development association”, supported by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, which aims to contribute to the further development of human capacity in sport through implementation of a set of mobility for sports coaches, which will include both educational modules and modules for exchange of good practices in the field of using sports to prevent radicalization and building tolerance and solidarity. Project will use and further develop in the field of tolerance and solidarity the non-formal educational methodology Education Through Sport ETS that is an illustration of using sport as learning tool and thereby taking steps to stretch sport beyond the activity itself.

#SPORTolerance project is co-funded by ErasmusPlus Programme of the European Union (sport chapter) and is a collaborative partnership, coordinated by Bulgarian sports development association and implemented together with The Charity Game (TCG asbl) (BEL), Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities (BRAVO) (BIH), Darko Athletics team (BUL) and Social Policy and Action Organization (CYP).
