Digital marketing training for sports organizations

On September 17, 2026, in Sofia, Bulgarian sports development association held a practical training session entitled “Digital Marketing for Sports Organizations,” aimed at representatives of sports and civil society organizations, focused on developing their skills for a more effective presence and communication in the digital environment. The training was part of the activities under the Beyond Barriers project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
The trainer was Konstantin Zankov, a marketing and business consultant, entrepreneur, and lecturer with extensive practical experience in marketing, digital communications, and business development. He is the founder of the consulting and marketing company Travel Mind and has worked as a consultant for hundreds of companies in Bulgaria and abroad. He teaches courses related to digital marketing, artificial intelligence in business, e-business, and digital communications.
Participants followed the practical journey from an initial idea to the development of an effective digital strategy, defining communication goals and target audiences, selecting appropriate digital channels, building a strong online presence, learning the basics of SEO, and using practical tools to improve online visibility.
Special attention was given to direct communication with audiences through email marketing and Viber, as well as to ways in which sports organizations can build and maintain active relationships with their participants, partners, and communities. Another key focus was the use of artificial intelligence in everyday work. Participants were introduced to AI tools for creating and improving texts, generating images and content ideas, as well as practical applications that can make the day-to-day work of sports and civil society organizations more efficient.
The training is part of the efforts of Beyond Barriers, an initiative supported by the Erasmus+ programme, aiming to strengthen the capacity and visibility of organizations working in the field of inclusive sport and to provide them with practical tools to better showcase their work and reach new audiences, partners, and communities.
The next training session in the Beyond Barriers series will take place on October 2, 2026, in Sofia and is going to focus on “Social Media and Digital Content for Sports Organizations,” with a practical focus on the effective use of social media platforms and the creation of engaging content.
