DevelopMENS
DevelopMENS Erasmus day in Pernik
16.10.2026
On October 16th, 2026, Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA) took part in Erasmus Day, organised by the International Youth Centre – Pernik. The event brought together representatives of youth organisations and professionals from Italy, Portugal, Romania, Poland, Ukraine and Bulgaria, who exchanged experiences and good practices in implementing European projects.
As part of the event, BSDA presented the free educational platform DevelopMENS, developed within an international project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The platform is aimed at young people aged 13–17 and offers interactive learning courses designed to develop transversal skills, critical thinking, media literacy and intrinsic motivation.
BSDA’s participation provided an opportunity to promote the educational resources developed through the project among youth workers and organisations from various European countries, as well as to exchange ideas on their use in non-formal education. In a context of rapid social and technological change, developing these skills is particularly important for helping young people build independence, confidence and the ability to make informed decisions.
Erasmus Day took place as part of an international training course for youth workers under Key Action 1 (KA153) of the Erasmus+ programme. The event created a space for presenting successful initiatives, sharing practical experiences and building new international partnerships.
The DevelopMENS educational platform is available completely free of charge at www.developmens.eu for young people aged 13–17. The courses can be completed independently and at each learner’s own pace. Upon successful completion, the platform automatically generates a certificate recognising the knowledge and skills acquired.
The DevelopMENS project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and brings together organisations from six countries: Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo. The Bulgarian partner is the Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA).
