On the 22nd of January 2025, the first meeting of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Sport Training (FRIST) project took place in Zagreb, Croatia. The event took place at Algebra University College and marked the beginning of joint activities between partners from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia.
The main objective of the FRIST project is to equip sport sector professionals with advanced digital skills to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital era. During the meeting, participants discussed key aspects of the project, including an introduction to the objectives, partners and coordination strategies, as well as details of project visibility and branding. The meeting also included a visit to the facilities for the upcoming international trainings, as well as a distribution of tasks among the partners.

The FRIST project is going to provide an opportunity for 10 experts in the field of administration and management of sports organisations to participate in a series of training sessions. The first training is going to take place at national level in Bulgaria, followed by an online session in September 2025, and will culminate in an international training in Zagreb in November 2025, where participants from 4 countries will meet to share experiences and knowledge. A call for applications is coming soon and the 10 selected representatives from each country will go through the three training stages planned to build on their skills and competencies.

The FRIST project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, is going to be implemented for a period of 18 months and aims to catalyze the digital transformation in sports organizations. The meeting was attended by Joanna Dochevska – Chairperson of Bulgarian sports development association, partner in the initiative from Bulgaria.
