BSDA is partner in HER SPORT project

The HER SPORT project aims to promote social inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities in sports for girls aged 13-17, especially those in remote or rural areas. The primary goal is to improve the quality of life for these girls by promoting equal access to sports as a tool for social inclusion. The project specifically targets 200 girls who are at risk of not participating in sports and provides training for 32 sports coaches and club directors on key topics related to inclusion and equality in sports.
The project’s activities are divided into two main phases of an awareness campaign. Phase 1 involves organizing community engagement events (five per country) with public practice sessions in accessible locations, providing transportation support for girls from rural areas, and holding educational workshops led by Greek educators and local coaches. Phase 2 includes meetings in Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, and a final event in Serbia, with a comprehensive "Story-Experience" to document and share the project's impact.
The main beneficiaries are sports instructors from partner organizations who will receive training, 200 girls aged 13-17 who will be encouraged to engage in outdoor sports, and their families. Expected outcomes include increased awareness of sports' social value, trained coaches equipped with skills to promote inclusivity, and active involvement of 200 girls in sports. The project will deliver partnership agreements, educational materials, a toolkit for families, and a "Story-Experience" as key outputs.
HER SPORT is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and will be implemented in Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Spain in a period of 24 months.
