BSDA hosts HER SPORT project meeting in Sofia
19.04.2026
Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA) hosted an international partner meeting under the HER SPORT project, held from April 17 to 19, 2026, in Sofia. The meeting brought together partners from Bulgaria, Greece, Spain, and Serbia, who are working collaboratively to promote social inclusion, access to sport, and equal opportunities for girls aged 13–17, particularly those coming from remote and vulnerable communities.
During the meeting, participants conducted an in-depth review of the activities carried out so far, including local community engagement events, training initiatives, and efforts to improve access to sport. They also discussed the challenges faced and best practices identified in each country, as well as opportunities to enhance the project’s impact through stronger coordination, adaptation of training modules, and the development of additional resources for working with families.
A special focus was placed on the next phases of the project, including the development of training materials, planning of the final event, and the creation of a “Story-Experience” format that will showcase the initiative’s impact at European level.
HER SPORT project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and aims to increase girls’ participation in sport, support the work of coaches and organizations, and contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable sports environment across Europe.
