Active June 1st in Zlatitsa

On June 1st – International Children’s Day – a joyful and active celebration was held for the children of Zlatitsa, organized by the Municipality of Zlatitsa and carried out by Bulgarian sports development association and the Bulgarian Lacrosse Federation. The little ones had the chance to enjoy a variety of fun games and competitions filled with music and dancing, tailored to different age groups. The Bulgarian Lacrosse Federation gave a captivating demonstration of this new and exciting sport, which sparked great interest among the children.
With lots of enthusiasm and big smiles, the young participants tried lacrosse for the first time and happily joined in the exercises and demo games.
The event was realized under the leadership of Eng. Lyubomir Tsvetkov, Mayor of Zlatitsa, and Zlatitsa Municipality, with the support of Auribus Bulgaria. Thanks to the well-organized celebration and the amazing BSDA volunteers, the children spent an unforgettable time full of smiles and joy and made new friends. This day will remain in the memory of all present as a symbol of the joy and unity of the community.
As part of the event, the #Train4Family initiative was promoted, co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. The celebration created opportunities for shared experiences between children, families, and institutions in a spirit of inclusion, activity, and tradition. Train4Family is an international initiative with partners from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Turkey, Italy, Slovenia, and Spain, aimed at encouraging the inclusion of children with disabilities and their families through sports and a healthy lifestyle.
