In the period 17–18 June 2026, an international partner meeting took place in Budapest, Hungary as part of the “UPSkilling Coaches: A New Methodology for Empowering Women Coaches in Less Popular Sports” project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The project brings together organizations from Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, and Hungary with the shared goal of supporting the professional development of female coaches in minority sports through the creation of innovative training tools and methodologies.
During the meeting, the project partners reviewed progress across the main work packages, including the development of a training methodology, the creation of innovative solutions and a European network for coaches, as well as preparations for upcoming training sessions, workshops, and public awareness activities. Participants also tested the online learning platform and the Toolbox featuring practical methods for working with women coaches. Administrative and financial matters were also discussed, together with the results of the project’s internal evaluations.

The UPSkilling Coaches project runs for 24 months and aims to strengthen the qualifications, motivation, and career development of female coaches while contributing to greater equality and inclusion in sport.

This project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
