Support the UPSkilling Coaches petition for more women coaches in sport
15.09.2026
Women continue to face significant barriers to professional development as coaches – from stereotypes and limited employment opportunities to more difficult access to high-level positions. Data collected as part of the UPSkilling Coaches project shows that 74% of respondents believe women have fewer opportunities to work as coaches than men, while 76% identify cultural barriers, prejudice and stereotypes as a significant challenge.
That is why UPSkilling Coaches has launched a European petition calling for greater equality and more opportunities for women coaches. The initiative calls on sports organisations, managers, institutions, policymakers and all relevant stakeholders to support concrete actions to improve women’s professional opportunities in coaching.

The goal is to give more women access to training and professional development, real career opportunities and leadership positions, while ensuring that successful women coaches are visible as role models for the next generation.

Every signature matters. Support the petition and help create a sport with more equal opportunities!
