On January 12, 2018, the first local event on YSDA project was organized by Nikola Zdravkov, one of the ambassadors of sports development in Bulgaria. Nicola is 16 years old, from Sofia, and organizes for her friends a basketball game where 20 youngsters were sporting and having fun. This is the first of ten consecutive events that each of the four ambassadors in Bulgaria will realize by April 2018. The events in Plovdiv will be organized by Galin Genov and Alexander Iliev, and in Yakorouda by Musalina Dzhaliland youngsters up to 24 years of age from these cities can install the official mobile application of the project and participate in the events.

The main objective of the PASSPORT (Project for Academy Sport SupPORT) project is to promote and support good governance in sport and dual careers of athletes. It addresses the aforementioned objectives by raising the awareness of dual carrier for athletes. Athletes often face challenges to combine their sporting career with education. According to international research, one-third of all participants from sports each year as they consider that sport takes up too much of their time. PASSPORT promote and support dual careers for athletes by setting up a transnational network of partners that will develop a platform for the training of athletes in the sport management, hence contributing to their employability.

In the last years, European and international organizations have been deeply worked to describe the capabilities of sport as a tool to promote social changes and to encourage its use to achieve social developments. Yet, many improvements still need to be done. The main objective of the project Platform for Inclusion, Culture and Sport /PICS/ consists in promoting voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity through increased participation in, and equal access to, sport for all.

Project title: Upload Sport & Mediterranean Diet and Upload sedentary life and fast food /START/. The project intends to highlight the benefits of physical activity, including sports and regular exercise, over a lifetime are huge and include a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and some types of cancer and diabetes, improving musculoskeletal health and weight control, as well as positive effects on the development of mental health and cognitive processes. The project, therefore, wishes to affirm in an incisive way, this concept: "Sport is a human activity resting on fundamental social, educational and cultural values. Equity through sport for youth development / ETSYD is a project that aims to improve social inclusion, equality, tolerance, fair-play, the reduction of educational difficulties and the lifestyles related to health thorough promoting and enhancing voluntary activities in sport for the young people aging 7-19 years old from 6 the most underprivileged schools from Bucharest, sector 3, Romania, for 18 months. According to the Bucharest municipality – Sector 3, in 2011, the most underprivileged schools and high schools from sector 3 were: the „Mexic” Secondary School (286 pupils), the Secondary School No. 95 (568 pupils), the ”Decebal” Theoretical High school (1240 pupils), the Special Secondary School No. 5 (209 elevi), the „Voievod Neagoe Basarab” Secondary School (319 pupils), the Secondary School No. 86 (760 pupils). The target group (the direct beneficiaries) represents the children and the teachers from these schools while the indirect beneficiaries of the results of the project will be the sport teachers, the parents, the friends of the youngsters involved directly in the project’s activities as well as other education facilities informed through dissemination activities.

Protection of integrity of young sports people, young athletes involved in elite sports may put at risk their health because of increasing pressure to achieve results even at the lowest levels of competitions. Increased requirements of the training process in order to achieve better results carry a risk of disorders of vital functions in the body. Ignorance of the basic principles of the training process - the frequency, intensity and duration, combined with inadequate preparedness of athletes and their objective possibilities cause greater number of pathophysiological changes in the body.

Between 17 and 19 December 2017, an interim meeting took place in Bergamo, Italy under The Youth Sport Development Ambassadors project, which will be implemented within 2 years, will focus on volunteering in the sphere of sport that promotes the social inclusion of young people between 16 and 24 years of age. The projects will be implemented by 4 young people in each country who will be young sports development ambassadors and will implement activities aimed at young people of their age who will acquire a higher degree of socialization in our society. “Bulgarian sports development association" is the project partner responsible for the activities in Bulgaria, and the meeting was presented by Joanna Dochevska - Chairwoman of the Management Board. All the details of the project were discussed during the meeting, the timing of the project activities and the progress report on the work activities, the communication and the logistics details were synchronized.

Today, December 17, 2017 at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" - indoor athletics hall took place a Christmas tournament for children in track and field athletics. The celebration was organized to mark the International Volunteer Day with volunteering. The event involved more than 60 children and was conducted with over 20 volunteers. The event is organized by the Department of Athletics of the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski", Sports Club "CLASs" and Bulgarian sports development association. The participants received awards from the sponsors of the event - Powers Marks. Each child also received a certificate for participation from the Bulgarian sports development association and the organizers hope this initiative, which is held for the third consecutive year, to raise the interest of the adolescents towards sport and physical activity and to motivate them to be active in your everyday life. The young athletes were awarded by Prof. Stefan Stoykov, Head of Athletics Department, Teresa Marinova, Olympic champion and teacher at NSA "Vasil Levski" and Ivaylo Lazarov - main organizer of the competition and lecturer at the Academy. In order to be involved in the physical activity of the children, a lottery was realized among the parents, the prize from the lottery was won by Velichka Georgieva.

“Start now!: Strategic partnership for health promotion among youth” is a project in the frame of “Erasmus+” Programme Key Action 2. The main objective of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle among youth off all ages. The project will be implemented in the period from March 2017 till December 2018, in three European countries: Bulgaria, Cyprus and Poland. The main objective of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle among youth off all ages. The project aim is to implement in different youth organizations an innovative methods of non-formal education about health awareness. The project is being implemented by the Promotion "HOPP" organization from Opole (PL) in partnership with: Bulgarian sports development association from Sofia (BG) and Organization for Social Policy and Action from Nicosia (Cyprus).

In the period 09-12 November 2017, in Sassari, Italy, an interim meeting was held on the project Young ambassadors of sport volunteering, in which representatives of all partner organizations in the project took part, and on behalf of the Bulgarian sports development association Joanna Dochevska, Chairwoman of BSDA, took part. The project "Young ambassadors of sport volunteering" aims to prepare and support 5 participants from each partner country in the implementation of activities to promote volunteering in the sphere of sport. ARBS works for the development and promotion of volunteering in the sphere of sports in Bulgaria and over the years has implemented a large number of campaigns and initiatives on the topic and works purposefully for normative collateral of volunteering. Under this project, volunteers in Bulgaria organized a series of events, part of which was dedicated to the European 2017 Sports Week, including a hike to Vitosha, a volleyball challenge and an active international weekend.

On 26/10/2017, Bulgarian sport development association organized sport activities for residents in the State Community for Adults with Mental Disabilities in the village of Banya, Karlovo. During the sport sessions that took place in the community were filmed video footage, which aims to present the power of the sport as tool for integration and equal opportunities for all social groups. The sports activities were held with the support of the students of „Adapted Physical Activity and Sport” bachelor degree in National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" and have also included local community members.

START NOW! is a strategic partnership that will focus its efforts on promoting health among young people in three European countries - Poland, Bulgaria and Cyprus, and will implement innovative non - formal learning methods for health awareness among youth organizations in partner countries. The partnership was launched in the period 21-23 April 2017 at an international meeting in Opole, Poland, and the next project meeting was held in Bulgaria between 30.06 and 03.07.2017, with representatives of Bulgaria, Poland and Cyprus taking part in the Health Festival, where they met with citizens and presented the project's activities, and then focused on discussing training modules for conducting health education through informal learning methods.

On 22.09.2017 a picnic was held in Pancharevo, where young people from Bulgaria and South Korea took part, sharing their time with positive emotions. The event was organized by Yordanka Hristova, one of the young ambassadors of sporting development, and the participants shared delicious food that they had brought and then took part in entertaining and educational sports activities. They were divided into two teams and competed among themselves, and finally there were awards for the winners. Young Ambassadors of Sport Volunteering project is a joint partnership between four countries and aims to promote volunteering in sport, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle by increasing participation in sport for all. The project provides 3 transnational meetings to present the results achieved at each stage and to provide a quality monitoring process. During international training, a team of qualified trainers will help prepare ambassadors for the organization and promotion of sporting events, motivation for sport and volunteer activities of their peers, and will structure the preparation of events to be held during the European Week of sport - September 2017.

A few days ago a part of the BSDA team came back from Portugal, where they took part in the project "Youth Sport Development Ambassadors" (YSDA) in the period 25.09.-29.09-2017. Representatives in the face of Kalinka Gudarovska, a member of the Board of Directors as mentor and Musalina Dzhalil, her young ambassador, have taken part in numerous sports activities such as archery, kayaking on the Tua River, table tennis, beach volleyball, basketball and football. In their physical activities, they have partnered with project designers from Slovenia, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, as well as students from Africa who are studying at the local university in the small picturesque town in northern Portugal, Miranda.

The European Week of Sport is an initiative of the European Commission to promote sport and motor activity among the population of Europe. The goal is to increase the number of physically active citizens, because sport improves quality of life, improves health, reduces households' economic costs and brings a message of tolerance. The week will be held from 23-30 September 2017 across Europe, coordinated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Bulgaria.
