In sport we are all equal!
08.11.2017
Sport has the power to improve social inclusion.
He does not discriminate against any sign.
No one is different!
In sport we are all equal!

With this message, the Bulgarian sports development association created a video with the support of the Center for Mental Disadvantages in the village of Banya, Karlovo. On 26/10/2017, the Bulgarian sports development association organized sports activities for residents in the House for Adults with Mental Disabilities in the village of Banya, Karlovo. During the sports session that took place in the home were filmed video footages, which aim to present the power of sport as an integration tool, as well as opportunities for equal inclusion of all social groups. The sports activities were held jointly with the students of "Adapted Physical Activity and Sport" at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski", including local community members.
The video is available on the following link, and we will be happy to share it with as many people as possible to show the strength of the sport:

"The strength of the sport to bring together, to allow an equal start and participation is extremely strong and we must use it as much as possible to reduce social imbalances in our society. Sports activities in Bulgaria are being used for integration and socialization, but less structured and regulated than we would have liked, and I am pleased to share with my colleagues in Europe the wonderful initiatives that the House for Mentally Disadvantaged in the village of Banya, Karlovo realizes all year round, as well as the rich sporting history they own. I would be delighted that such examples provide the basis for a purposeful policy of using sporting activities to tackle the issues we face today and to see, maintain and develop the magic that sport brings", said Joanna Dochevska, Chairwoman of BSDA.
"I believe that quality education is closely related to the practice and the opportunities that the National Sports Academy" Vasil Levski "provides for practical training - one of the strongest aspects of the Academy. The students we prepare have a very good basis for realization after going through the theoretical modules and then applying what they have learned in practice with real groups they are going to work with after completing their education. I am happy that the "Adapted physical activity and sport" course enjoys increasing popularity in both forms of education - Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and in this field we are approaching the standards that apply in the most developed countries”, added Stefka Djobova - lecturer of the course and world recognized expert in the field of integration through sport.
The SpeeCh - Sports Psychic Community project is a project that will start on January 1, 2017 and will realize diverse activities in the next 2 years and is co-funded under the Erasmus + program of the European Commission.
