BSDA HELD A TRAINING UNDER THE ACADEMY OF YOUTH WORKER 2.0 PROJECT

In the period March 15-30, 2023, in Sofia, Bulgaria, on the territory of the “Vasil Levski” National Sports Academy, Bulgarian sports development association held a training course within the ACADEMY FOR YOUTH WORKERS 2.0 project. The participants had the opportunity to improve and increase their knowledge about youth work with a focus on online tools, finance and marketing, building a specific network of stakeholders, using online fundraising platforms, etc. 20 young people took part in the training course, who after passing the exam received a certificate for participation.
The training course covered the following topics:
• Information and communication technologies (ICT);
• Stakeholders engagement, financing, fundraising – how to survive?;
• Effective work with documents and organization of information;
• Virtual trainings and webinars;
• Online fundraising platforms;
• What is stakeholder engagement?;
• Who are the stakeholders?;
• Defining the scope of the policy – the scope and boundaries of the stakeholder engagement policy should be clearly defined, articulated and communicated;
• Defining responsibilities and the decision-making process;
• Defining the management process;
• Identification of the main stakeholders and groups of stakeholders – there are many models and methods for identifying stakeholders;
• Development of an engagement plan including frequency, methods and channels – the engagement plan should be part of a regular cycle to ensure ongoing development and that any changes are covered within a reasonable timeframe;
• Facilitating the stakeholder engagement process.

MAIN AIMS OF THE PROJECT:
• Helping Youth organization in Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and Macedonia to develop their institutions in the field of online tools, finances, and marketing;
• Building the specific network between Youth and Youth institutions in our regions;
• Spreading the activities offered by youth organizations among young people and motivate them to join it.

PROJECT RESULTS:
• Academy of Youth Worker 2 Program with pilot trainings and best practices;
• Youth Organization virtual escape room with case studies.
