On 13–14 November 2025, an international training on digital transformation in sport was held in Zagreb, Croatia. The event was organized within the FRIST – Fourth Industrial Revolution in Sport Training project, co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA) is an official project partner, working to support the digital growth of sports organizations across Europe. The training took place at Algebra Bernays University and brought together participants from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, and Slovenia.
Over the two-day agenda, the participants focused on key aspects of the digital skills that modern sports professionals need to master. Ten representatives of Bulgarian sports clubs and federations took part, covering a wide range of different sports.

During the event, the main goals and activities of the FRIST project were presented, followed by a series of practical lectures and workshop sessions. The topics included:
• Digital communication tools and effective online presence;
• Digital marketing and fan engagement;
• Data analysis and digital ethics;
• Project management through digital platforms;
• Future trends in digital transformation and the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence.

The training was led by experts from the partner organizations, who shared their experience, best practices, and innovative working models. In addition to the workshop sessions, participants visited the Museum of Games, where they had the chance to explore digital cultural heritage and modern technological solutions in entertainment and interactive media.

The FRIST project aims to reduce the digital gap in the sports sector by providing a modern training program tailored to the real needs of sports organizations. The initiative will run for 18 months and includes the creation of sustainable training materials, as well as building an international network of experts and organizations ready to implement digital solutions in sport. BSDA continues to actively contribute to the development of digital competencies in sports by supporting training programs, innovative methods, and transnational cooperation.
