24.11.2025
The 2025 National Referees and Coaches Seminar of the Bulgarian DanceSport Clubs Federation (BDSCF) featured a special presentation dedicated to the FRIST – Fourth Revolution in Sport Training project. The training session was delivered by Eng. Veselin Hristakev, board member of the BDSCF and a participant in the series of FRIST trainings held in Bulgaria in April, in hybrid format in September, and internationally in Zagreb in November 2025.
The FRIST project aims to reduce digital inequality in sports by developing a modern, practical, and accessible training program that addresses the current needs of sports organizations.
Key focus areas include:
• Developing digital skills among coaches, referees, and administrators;
• Integrating technological solutions into sports training;
• Creating an international network for sharing best practices;
• Producing sustainable training materials and resources.
The project is expected to contribute significantly to the modernization of the sports sector and to the improvement of digital competencies across various sports. In Bulgaria, it is coordinated by Bulgarian sports development association – a long-standing partner in the effort to digitally transform the sports sector, supporting trainings, innovative approaches, and transnational cooperation that lead to more effective and accessible sports practices.
