In the period 5–6 February 2026, the final conference and the transnational project meeting (TPM) of the FRIST project – Fourth Industrial Revolution in Sport Training – were held in Zagreb, Croatia. The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
The final conference took place on the 5th of February at the House of Europe and brought together representatives of sports organizations, experts, and project partners from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, and Slovenia. During the event, the main project results were presented, along with the FRIST training programme and key topics related to digital transformation in sport. These included digital communications, marketing, data management, digital ethics, and the role of new technologies and artificial intelligence in sports organizations. On the 6th of February, the project partners held a work meeting focused on finalizing the project outputs, assessing impact, planning dissemination and sustainability activities, and outlining next steps after the project’s completion.

The FRIST project aims to support the digital development of sports organizations in Europe through a practical and accessible training programme tailored to the real needs of sports professionals. As part of the project, a number of international and national training activities were delivered. In Bulgaria, a training course on digital transformation in sport was held on the 11th of April 2025 at the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski,” organized by the Bulgarian sport development association (BSDA), with participants from sports federations and clubs across the country. The training process continued with international activities, including a practical training session in Zagreb in November 2025, which also involved Bulgarian sports experts. The agenda covered topics such as digital communication tools, digital marketing, data analysis, project management through digital platforms, and future trends in the digitalization of sport.

Bulgarian sport development association is a partner in the FRIST project and actively contributes to the development, testing, and dissemination of the project results. This work is part of the Association’s broader efforts to reduce digital inequality in sport and to strengthen the capacity of sports organizations in Bulgaria and across Europe.
