Final IOFA meeting in Cyprus
25.03.2026
From March 22 to 25, 2026, the city of Larnaca, Cyprus hosted the final partner meeting under the “IOFA – Inclusive Orienteering for All” project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The event brought together representatives from organizations in Croatia, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Hungary, all united by a shared mission: to make the sport of Trail Orienteering (Trail-O) accessible to everyone, with a particular focus on people with disabilities.
During the meeting, partners discussed key aspects of project management and coordination, the implementation of local pilot and training events, and the implementation of a communication campaign aimed at promoting Trail-O as an inclusive sport. Special attention was also given to disseminating the project’s results through media channels and partner networks.

The project led to the development of practical guidelines for organizing accessible orienteering events, as well as the creation of educational materials for schools, youth organizations, and sports clubs. These resources are designed to encourage participation among people of all abilities.

With the successful completion of the project, the partners expressed their commitment to continuing their efforts to expand the reach and recognition of inclusive sports across Europe.
