05.11.2025
In the period November 4–5, 2025, the fifth international partner meeting under the “POP-UP – Sport for empowerment and for hoping-up your personal and professional pathway” project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, was held in Sofia. The event was hosted by Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA) and brought together partners from Belgium, France, Italy, Poland, and Romania.
The main focus of the meeting was the progress made under Work Package 4 (WP4): Practical guide, and Work Package 5 (WP5): Communication and dissemination. Partners discussed the development of pedagogical sport profiles and prepared the selection of ten sports for which training materials and methodological guidelines are going to be created. An initial validation of the content for these profiles took place, along with planning the next steps for testing and finalization.

Under WP5, updates were presented on the project website, social media activities, the organization of the final event, and the dissemination plan for the project’s results. During the final session, the partners reviewed the project’s quality assurance plan, financial monitoring, and evaluated the meeting through a SWOT analysis. The event concluded with a practical sports session at the National Sports Academy “Vasil Levski”, symbolically linking the themes of sport and social inclusion. Participants had the opportunity to try golf under the professional guidance of Hon. Assistant Todor Aleksiev and his excellent students from the Academy’s Golf program.

The POP-UP project aims to promote social and professional inclusion through sport among vulnerable groups by developing innovative pedagogical tools that support personal growth through physical activity. The initiative brings together six partner organizations from Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Poland, and Romania, united by the mission to use sport as a tool for empowerment and positive change.
