Ramps4Champs 2.0
Ramps4Champs 2.0 partner meeting held in Thessaloniki
10.02.2026
Representatives of Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA) took part in a partner meeting under the Ramps4Champs 2.0 project – an innovative European initiative dedicated to promoting inclusive sport for children and young people with severe physical disabilities. The meeting was held in the period 9–10 February 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The project focuses on BC3, a Paralympic discipline recognized by the International Paralympic Committee in 1984. BC3 provides opportunities for an active sporting life to individuals with cerebral palsy and other severe motor impairments.
Despite its strong potential, the sport requires specialized training, adapted equipment, and qualified professionals – key challenges that the project consortium is working to address.
Ramps4Champs 2.0 aims to identify barriers to introducing BC3 in schools and sports clubs, develop innovative training methodologies for teachers and coaches, and create practical resources to ensure the safe and sustainable implementation of the sport in educational settings. The project’s main outputs include a research report, an educational framework, an implementation handbook, video tutorials on equipment production, a scientific publication, and policy recommendations for institutions and decision-makers.
The project is being carried out over a 24-month period in partnership with organizations from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland, and Portugal. It is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme European Union. Through its involvement, BSDA continues its long-term mission to advance inclusive sport and create sustainable opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in active and dignified sporting life.
