19.06.2025
On June 18 and 19, 2025, the second international partner meeting under the “UPSkilling Coaches: A New Methodology to Empower Female Coaches in Minority Sports” project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, was held in Ravda. The host of the meeting was Bulgarian sports development association (BSDA), which represents Bulgaria in the project.
The project brings together partners from Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, and Hungary with a shared mission – to support women coaches in less popular sports by creating an innovative methodology and modern training resources.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the progress of the project and planned the next steps. Key highlights included:
• Finalizing and translating the UPSkilling Coaches methodology;
• Developing an e-learning platform and tools for self-learning;
• Building a sustainability strategy, disseminating results, and creating a European network of coaches;
• Discussing administrative and financial matters, as well as the findings from the project's first internal evaluation.
The event ended with a practical sports activity, organized within the framework of the Adapted Sports Camp 2025, during which participants had the opportunity to engage in joint activities with coaches and athletes working in an inclusive sports environment.
The UPSkilling Coaches project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, has a duration of 24 months, and aims to enhance the qualifications, motivation, and professional development opportunities for women coaches in minority sports. Key project outcomes include a comprehensive research report, a training methodology, an e-learning platform, and a network for sharing experience and mutual support.
