Sports Inclusion and Inclusion for Sport is a project that seeks to encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport through improvement of skills of coaches, trainers and other staff of organizations active in the fields of sport, youth work and social care and activities related to the social inclusion through sports. The duration of the project is 24 months, and it involves 5 partner organizations from four European countries - Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania and Turkey.

It is a racket sport born in the United States in 1965 and is called pickle ball. An online meeting of the consortium of the HEPOSI project was held on January 25, 2021, which brought together the project partners and gave them the opportunity to discuss the implementation of the remaining project activities, as well as opportunities for their implementation in regards of the complex situation in the world. The objective of the project "Football as a seed for gender equality" is to fight discrimination and gender inequality through sport. Although sport is a phenomenon that involves both men and women, it is characterized by profound gender differences: men participate more in sport than women. In particular, women's participation is very low in sports such as football, which in the collective imagination is considered a "male sport" and not suitable for women. The lower participation of women is a consequence of gender roles imposed by the society which inevitably influence the desires, interests and aspirations of boys and girls.

The platform aims to facilitate the international relations and cooperation in the field of sport and is with free access for sport clubs, federations and organizations. The objective of the “Sports, health and fun for preschool children / SUN” project is to contribute to awareness raising of the need for physical activity as basis of healthy lifestyle by changing habits of identified target groups (preschool children and their families) both in urban and rural areas. The projects goal is to stimulate children, in the first place those with obesity, overweight and low physical activity, and their parents to embrace this new kind of lifestyle as a routine, and then transfer the acquired healthy habits in later age. Children, engaged in sports activities at very young age are more likely to remain active later in life and are less likely to become obese or suffer from linked chronical diseases. The duration of the project is 24 months and the initiative is involving 7 partner organizations from 6 European countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia.

The project “Sport for Every Child: Fit Kids” encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities. The main goal of this project is to develop a modular based Physical Education methodology of sport activities, sport games and exercising for children and youngsters with mental and developmental disorders, illnesses and disabilities, we will focus on the groups that have to overcome most obstacles in doing sports activities, sport games and exercising, such as (ADHD, Bipolar, Anxiety, Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders, Disruptive, Impulse-Control, and Conduct Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders, Autism and Low Cognitive Ability). Modular approach to fit the needs of individual disorder. It will be structured for the use of teachers and also for parents of children with mental disorders.

The project has the aim to develop, implement and transfer innovative practices related to physical activity in a high-risk and usually hard to reach population: women, especially those with family and working loads. The “WOMEN’S HURDLES” project objective is to promote and support EU strategies in the area of social inclusion and equal opportunities, encouraging participation in sport and physical activity (supporting the implementation of EU Physical Activity Guidelines). The collaborative partnership involves various organisations and actors in and outside sport (research and preventive institution, sports association, scientific associations, social association). Empowering Women Athletes: Tackling Feminine Abuse, Violence and Discrimination in EU Sports Clubs. Sport is a means of self-expression and fulfilment, as well as a force for citizenship and solidarity, while stressing how violence against women, stereotyping, differences in payment and barriers to women’s involvement in management are still problems tackling the sport sector. Those barriers act on multiple levels (verbal, physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, social, cultural, organisational, economic, mediatic, ecc.) and are collectively perceived as a pervasive chauvinist culture that permeates the career of any female athlete.

On December 18, 2020, in the renovated pool "Madara" of the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" was held a control training in adapted swimming, which included 12 athletes with intellectual disabilities. The sports activity was held in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures, and the public and persons under 18 years of age were not allowed. The training was organized by experts in the sector of "Adapted Physical Activity and Sports" at NSA "Vasil Levski" and the Bulgarian Sports Development Association.

“Multisport community experience” is a social-innovation sport project based on collective “movement” competition. The duration of the project is a 36 months with a consortium of 6 partners from 6 different countries – Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Italy and Croatia. This project aims at activating a new user experience, new sense of belonging, new emotions, new relationship and healthy competition and a compelling motivation for a physically active and healthy living. The game is based on competing communities. Each community has a team of 500 participants who track their physical activity. A system collects all data and update the real time cumulative “Healthy Index” at city level and compares it with the value of the other competing community.

On 18th of November 2020 the consortium of #Back2Track project has gathered in online environment for the final project meeting. The get-together was originally planned to be held in Rijeka, Croatia, but due to the COVID-19 was implemented through online platform. At the final project meeting has been adopted the Toolkit with practical guidance “Grassroots programme for professional sport clubs” that is available for sport organizations on the project webpage www.back2track.net and can be used as source of inspiration for sport entities to deliver grassroots activities for kids and youngsters.

On October 23, 2020, at the invitation of Zlatka Atanasova – a philosophy teacher and in compliance with anti-epidemic measures, the Bulgarian sports development association introduced to the 12th grade students from the 57 School "St. Naum Ohridski” the policies of the European Union in the field of sports. The students got acquainted with the basic regulations in the sector, the importance and priorities of sport, the activities implemented so far after creating the prerequisites for a common European sports policy, as well as future ones planned in the next Multiannual Financial Framework of the Union 2021 – 2027. The opportunities that the Erasmus+ Program opens up for future sports professionals and the challenges that the sports sector faces such as: the fight against doping and sports results manipulation, the prevention of corruption and the promotion of good governance, were also presented.

The European Week of Sport #BeActive was held for the sixth consecutive year and between 23 and 30 September 2020 all residents and guests of Sofia had the opportunity to become part of the largest sports event in Europe. European Week of Sport is an initiative of the European Commission, which is held each September throughout Europe since 2015. The week, which takes the form of an awareness raising campaign, promotes the multiple benefits of sports and physical activity and everyone can participate, regardless of age, background or physical condition.

In the period 31/08 - 06/09/2020, a camp for adapted water sports was held at VSUB Nessebar, which aimed to promote activities in the field of adaptation of water sports for people with different types of disabilities and special needs. The main sports in which the participants are involved are sailing, kayaking and swimming, and in addition all participants had fun practicing the modern paddleboarding, as well as a hike activities within the project #HikeTogether.

On 19th of August 2020, #BeActive day was held at the Monastery "St. Ivan Rilski” in German, Bulgaria, organized in partnership with the Sunday School at the “Nativity of Christ" Temple, Sofia, Mladost 3, the Association of Bulgarians suffering from asthma (ABBA) and the Bulgarian sports development association. Over 30 children had the opportunity to have fun, study together and enjoy wonderful summer emotions, many sports and educational activities. Hieromonk Pimen, responsible for the monastery expressed his support for this type of activity, which started in the German monastery three years ago and has become a wonderful tradition: "It is inherent in man to develop his physical abilities in childhood so that he can have proper development as an individuals."
